The house passes Bill that blocks future presidents from banning oil drilling without Congress approval

The Republican-led House adopted legislation to block future administrations from adopting the ban on oil and gas drilling without congressional approval.

In a Voting on Friday, the legislators passed the “protection of American energy production” to prohibit the president from “declaring a moratorium for the use of hydraulic breach unless Congress approves the moratorium.”

There were 118 Democrats who voted against the legislation, while the Republican house members unanimously voted for its passage.

“When President Biden took office, his administration took a ‘whole of the government’s’ approach to waging war on American energy production, panced to wake up environmental extremists and paralyze this thriving industry,” Pfluger said in a statement after the bill’s passage.
