Ben Simmons allegedly ends contract outlets with the nets; Cavaliers, Clippers and Rockets Interested

Ben Simmons is ready to be a free agent.

Simmons and Brooklyn Nets end a contract acquisition, ESPNS Sham’s Charania reported after Thursday’s NBA trading deadline. Per. The Philadelphia 76ers chose Simmons with the total overall election in 2016 NBA draft out of LSU, but he missed the 2016-17 season with a broken foot. He returned the next season to win Rookie of the Year, and he earned three equal all-star appearances from 2018-2021. But Simmons missed the entire campaign 2021-22 in the middle of his back injury, mental health concerns and possibly teamout with the 76s, which resulted in him finally moving to the nets after the storming last stretch with the franchise.

Since then, his career has been largely stagnant. He has not played in more than 42 games per year. Season while dealing with several injuries. Simmons has an average of 6.2 points and 6.9 assists in 33 games with Nets this season, which is the last year of his five-year-old, $ 177 million deal. He is ready to be a free agent later this summer.
