Arrest made after the death of 27-year-old reporter Adanzano. What the police shared

A Slidell, Louisiana, woman with a long criminal history, is in police custody after allegedly using a credit card belonging to the late TV journalist Adanzano, who died this week while he was on task that covered the 2025 Super Bowl In New Orleans.

Danette Colbert was taken into custody after allegedly using Manzano’s credit card in several stores in New Orleans, Kenner Police Department of Police Keith A. Conley revealed in a 7th February Press conference.

Manzano, a reporter and sports anchor for Telemundo Kansas City in Missouri, was found dead on February 5, according to Conley, who did not give a cause of death.

While police treated Manzano’s hotel room, they noticed that a credit card and a mobile phone were missing, Conley said.

A search in Colbert’s home in Slidell produced the missing credit card and mobile phone as well as drugs and a stolen firearm, the boss said.

Conley noticed that Colbert had a long -standing “rapark” to commit robbery and unity fraud, including criminal activities. He also noted that Colbert’s criminal history included two cases where she fooled her victims.

Colbert is now being held on charges of real estate crime, Conley said, adding that an investigation was lasting and police are waiting for a Coroner’s report.

“You asked if this was a murder. I don’t know where it will end,” Conley told journalists. “We will let the evidence lead us to the end result and not speculate.”

Telemundo Kansas City shared the news of Manzano’s death 6 February in a statement of Facebook.

“We are sorry to share that Adan Manzano died yesterday in New Orleans while we were on the task of covering the Super Bowl for both Telemundo Kansas City and Tico Sports,” the statement states.

The station continued to call Manzano a “real professional” and an “rising star.”

“We will deeply miss Adan and his passion for sports and the contributions he made to the local community,” it added.

Manzano’s death comes less than a year after Death of his wife, Ashleigh BoydThere was involved in a car accident on April 11, 2024 in Topka, Kansas.

Boyd and Manzano shared a daughter who was 15 months old at the time of Boyd’s death, according to Boyd’s obituary.
