Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich has flyed high this season and they have only gotten better since the new year.

They have won all their last five competitions in the league and scored 18 goals in the process. While some of these wins ended up being with a one-target margin, these scoring lines are misleading as they have admitted some ultimately meaningless goals late.

This was the case last weekend. Munich went up 4-0 at home against Holstein Kiel and grabbed three goals in nine minutes. Things ended up getting daunting as the opposition withdrew it to 4-3 at stopping time, but they continued to secure the three points.

Summer signing Michael Olise has hit the ground in Bundesliga with 13 target contributions to his name. Young Fenom Jamal Musiala has also been key, only with a less than his teammate. They have fed with starsticks Harry Kane very well and he has a league-leading number of 19 goals.

If Bayern can play at the levels they have been this season, this can be a routine night at Allianz Arena. Vincent Kompany has its side at the top of the league in her first season. They are six points clear that enters this week and there is a chance that their challengers Bayer Leverkusen could drop points after their exhaustive DFB Cup effort in the middle week.

However, Munich will have to get the job done here first.

Alphonso Davies will be the biggest Miss for Bayern, but they will also be without summer signature Hiroki ito and goalkeeper Daniel Peretz.

Werder Bremen

This is one of the games where Werder Bremen simply plays with home money.

Their last competition ended in a massive victory and beat European rivals Mainz 1-0. However, it also ended in a controversy that will affect them this time. At Stop Time, Bremen had two of their centerbacks sent out, and on full -time manager, Werner was also red.

It was a fantastic view from the judge and his loss of tranquility will then affect Werder here as all three of these names will be suspended. Captain Marco Friedl was one of the two defenders and he is the most important player when it comes to the back three. Niklas Stark was also dismissed, and supporters would probably rank him as the team’s second best defender, if not over Friedl.

To make things even worse, colleague centered centerback Anthony Jung Mainz game early due to injury. It is unclear who even wants to join Werder at the back. Having this level of uncertainty against any side asks for problems, but having the versus a league-leading and free-scoring Munich clothing is another thing completely.

Even if they didn’t go through a crisis at the back, this would still be a massive test for Bremen. They have been an inconsistent team this campaign and there have been a few games where they are not up to standard. If they play like this Friday, they will be in real problems.

You only have to look back in September last year when Bayern came to Weserstadion and scored five. It was far too easy and the green-white looked like they were not close to challenging a team near the top of the position.

Then Werder’s last trip to Munich was a nice for them as they astonishingly won 1-0. If they can again get on a performance like the one, they might manage to steal three massive points in their fight for Europe.

Team news
The above Friedl and Stark are suspended, while like Julian Malatini, Keke Topp and Leonardo Bittencourt all deal with various injuries that will exclude those who go into Friday.
