Woman arrested after using credit card by Dead Super Bowl -Reporter

A Louisiana woman has been arrested and charged with using the credit cards from Adan Manzano, 27-year-old Telemundo Sports Reporter found dead in a hotel room in the New Orleans Area on Wednesday.

According to Kenner (Lousiana) police department, the woman identified as Danette Colbert was arrested after allegedly using Manzano’s credit card in several stores in New Orleans. According to police, Security Video from Manzanos Hotel Colbert and Manzano, who enters his room early in the morning of February 5th, and Colbert leaves only soon after.

A Kenner PD press message shows that Colbert has an arrest warrant that includes two accusations of drug drugs, theft of currency, fraudulent use of credit and debit cards and other financial crimes. Police also found Manzano’s cellphone in a search for Colbert’s home in Slidell, Lousiana.

Kenner -Police Chief Keith A. Conley said during a press conference today, streamed live on Facebook that the charges against Colbert could be upgraded pending the results of Manzano’s autopsy.

Manzano, a sports broadcast at Telemundo 39 in Kansas City, had covered the Super Bowl in New Orleans, who shared content from his trip to Louisiana in his social media accounts and sent his reports from the stage.

“Adan was a unique professional and a rising star whose dedication and talent reflected expertise in his work,” the news station said in a statement. “We will deeply miss Adan, his passion for sports and the contributions he made to the local community.”

Manzano leaves a toddler daughter. Manzano’s wife – the girl’s mother – was killed in a car accident last year.
