Trump Mock’s Time Magazine says he didn’t know it was ‘still in business’

President Trump mocked Time Magazine on Friday and said he didn’t even know it was still in business after the publication used a picture of Elon Musk sitting at Resolute Desk on his cover.

A reporter asked Trump for his reaction to the time cover that contains musk sitting in the president’s chair. The cover story of headline, “Inside Elon Musk’s war against Washington,” comes when critics of President Trump have suggested that Musk has too much power as he is tasked with leading the Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

“Is Time Magazine still in business? I didn’t even know that,” Trump said as laughter could be heard in space.

“Elon is doing a good job. He finds a huge fraud and corruption and waste. You see it with USAID, but you want to see it even more with other agencies and other parts of the government. He has a staff that is fantastic,” Added Trump. “He has wanted to be able to do this for a long time.”

Musk has gone after the US Agency for International Development (USAID) when he breaks down on public spending. Trump said he is happy with progress and said other state agencies will also be influenced by DOGE.

“It’s all a fraud. Very little to be used well. Every single line that I look at, in terms of events and transactions, is either corrupt or ridiculous and we do it in the whole government and I think we will be very close to balancing budgets for the first time in many years, ”Trump said.

“He’s doing a very good job,” Trump continued. “I’m very happy with that.”

Trump was named Time Magazine’s Person of the Year in 2024. Last month, the magazine’s Cover Trump, which dried up former president Bid’s objects from the Oval Office Resolute Desk with the headline, “He’s back.”

Time did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital.
