Kvaratskhelia scores its first PSG goal as Ligue 1 -Leader Routes Monaco

Paris-Ny Signing Khvicha Kvarskhelia scored her first goal for Paris Saint-Germain as the undefeated Ligue 1 leader directed third-placed Monaco 4-1 to go 13 points ready on Friday.

The Georgia Wing joined Naples for a reported 70 million euros ($ 72 million) and with a great reputation for skill and clinical finishing. He showed a bit of both in the 54th minute, controlled a quick pass with his right foot, cut wisely inside Christian Mawissa and shot the ball out of balance over goalkeeper Radoslaw Majecki.

It did 2-1, and three minutes later Ousmane Dembélé added the third goal after combining well with Désiré Doué. He knocked in from close range at the last minute after a counter-attack to expand his league-leading context to 16 goals.

PSG led in the sixth minute when Vitinha curled a free kick into the lower right corner. But he was helped by a major position error from Majecki, leaving a huge hole.

PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma was easily beaten in the nearest post when Captain Denis Zakaria ran on a smart passport from Soungoutou Magassa.

For all his attacking flair – especially the technically gifted Maghne’s Aliouche – Monaco’s weaknesses were poor tranquility and erratic defense, and it will fall to fifth, whose small and lovely wins this weekend.

Marseille remains second regardless, but has to win on Angers on Sunday to stay 10 points behind PSG.
