Time puts Elon Musk Bag Resolute Desk for the latest coverage

Time published its latest cover Friday morningWith a striking image of a government leader sitting behind the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office.

But it’s not President Donald Trump.

It’s Elon Musk, Trump’s supposed right man and the lead of the new Department of Government Efficiency.

On the front, Musk sits smiling and holding a cup of coffee behind the massive desk, flanked by an American flag and the presidential flag. The image is placed on a bright red background.

When Trump was asked about the front Friday in the White House, Trump seemed to aim at the publication, as recently named him 2024s the person of the year.

“Is Time Magazine still in business? I didn’t even know,” Trump said according to Video of the interaction that was sent to social media.

He said he had not yet seen the magazine and praised Musk for “doing a good job” by “finding tremendous fraud and corruption and waste.”

The cover promotes a profile of Musk written by Simon Shuster and Brian Bennett the headline, “Inside Elon Musk’s war against Washington.”

“So far, Musk seems responsible for none, but President Trump, who handed over his campaign -welmyness a sweeping mandate to bring the government in accordance with its agenda,” they write.

After weeks, the time function comes with Musk’s attempt to cut state expenses into an unprecedented effort to shrink the federal workforce and cut federal programs shrouded in secrecy.
