On Saturday, the perfect sunny day for cattle offered to take over the streets in the center of San Antonio.

The Western Heritage Parade and Cattle Drive moved down Houston Street between Milam Park and Broadway, with hundreds of spectators who perish the sidewalks.

Illusion Pardo said her favorite part of the parade was to see the women in traditional Mexican dresses.

“Just because I try to get connected to my culture and it’s really nice to see them in the big dresses and parade around them,” she explained.

It was Naya Moore’s first time on the parade and she was excited to see cattle moving through the center.

“It’s very exciting to see everyone come out and enjoy this event. It brings society together, so yes, ”she said.

The annual parade in the center signalizes the beginning of the rode season in San Antonio. More information about rodeo events is available below.

San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo run from February 6 to February 23 due to Frost Bank Center and Freeman Coliseum.
