Utah jazz -rookie gets history in victory over warriors

The Utah Jazz took home their second win in three attempts on Wednesday and took down Golden State Warriors 131-128, but one of the greatest stories of the night really falls on the performance of Utah’s budding Rookie–Isaiah Collier.

Collier showed up in Jazz’s 12th victory of the year and ended with 20 points, six rebounds and 11 assists, which effectively put together an all-round effort everywhere.

A 20-6-11 state line is impressive enough, but especially when taking into account the historical implications.

For the jazz franchise, Collier is the first rookie to post at least 20 points, five rebounds and 10 assists in a game for over 40 seasons.

Jazz -rookie continues to have a strength this season, especially in its last six games starting. Through this stretch, Collier has an average of 11.0 points, 3.3 rebounds and 8.0 assists on 52.4% shooting from the field.

After scooping him up with the 28th everywhere election in the summer draft, Collier has proved to be a steal for jazz and their reconstruction process. He even started this season getting Reps in the G League, but still he has taken them in steps and began to find his foot as a gathering point for Utah’s future endeavors.

Collier was not the only one who appeared in jazz’s victory over Warriors. Whether it was starters like Jordan Clarkson who led the team in points with 31, Walker Kessler helps, this was an all-round effort in Utah to win their second of three matches in February.

Collier and the rest of the jazz list get his next chance to build on top of an impressive show on Friday when Utah is traveling to meet Phoenix Suns At. 20.00 Mt.
