RFK Jr. sparks curiosity after adding methylene blue to his water during flight

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Recently triggered widespread curiosity after a video appeared by him and added methylene blue to his water while flying.

The footage shared by MMA Fighter Vance Elrod on X (formerly Twitter) quickly became viral and caught users’ attention fascinated by the unusual action. In his post, Elrod claimed that methylene blue, when taken during flights, could provide a number of benefits, such as mitigating radiation exposure, protecting against oxidative stress, preventing colds and increasing the autophagia if fasting during the flight.

The video got a mixed response from X users. Some praised Kennedy and claimed that they also take methylene blue light doses daily for its alleged health benefits. Others, however, expressed skepticism and questioned its safety and efficiency.

Methylene blue, a synthetic dye, is often used for medical treatments, especially for conditions such as methemoglobinemia, a rare blood disorder that damages oxygen transport in the body. While its medical uses are well -documented, wider health claims, especially in daily environment, remain more controversial.

Kennedy, a 71-year-old politician, environmental lawyer, author and anti-vaccine activist, has long been a polarizing figure. In addition to its recent viral video, Kennedy is known for his vocal resistance to fluoridation of drinking water, a public health measure aimed at reducing dental drop by adding fluoride to the water supply. He has repeatedly criticized this practice, which is approved by many health organizations.

Kennedy is also chairman of Children’s Health Defense, an anti-vaccine group he founded in 2015, which has been criticized for spreading incorrect information on vaccines and other public health issues. While methylene blue has medical uses, including its use in cancer operations to identify lymph nodes, its use outside clinical environment, especially during flights, remains discussed. Some health experts warn against its widespread use without proper medical guidance.
