New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party Chief Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday accepted defeat at the election in the Delhi assembly and said he hoped that the Bharatiya Janata Party crossed majority mark Of 36 seats would meet people’s expectations.
“We accept the mandate of the people with great humility. I congratulate BJP with this victory, and I hope they will fulfill all the promises that people have voted for,” Kejriwal said.
“We have done a lot of work in health, education, infrastructure in the last 10 years.

Kejriwal lost against BJP candidate Parvesh Verma from New Delhi constituency. According to the Electoral Commission in India, Verma won by over 4000 votes against Kejriwal.
BJP will comeback in Delhi after more than 26 years and sweep AAP away from the national capital of another major victory to expand its saffron -footprint in the country. Meanwhile, Congress is on its way to its third straight laundering in Delhi and draws an empty again after 2015 and 2020.
