Derby County could consider John Eustace

Derby County has Blackburn Rovers chef John Eustace on their list of possible appointments, but they will have to pay compensation for taking him from Ewood Park, according to journalist Alan Nixon.

Rams has fired Paul Warne after he could not arrest a terrible magic form that generated relegation.

They started off a reasonably good start to the championship after they were promoted, but in recent weeks the results have shown no sign of improvement.

Derby County has lost all seven of their last league matches, and now they are in search of a manager when they sit the third bottom of the table.

They have been attached to Mansfield Town chef Nigel Clough, but Blackburn chef Eustace is also on their list of options.

However, it has been suggested that they have to pay compensation if they want to bring in one of them.

Ex-England-Vice host manager Lee Carsley has also been linked to, but Rams has not contacted him officially.

Derby County will be looking to appoint a manager before facing Oxford United next Tuesday.
