Federal Judge blocks Elon Musk’s DODE -Access to Critical Ministry of Finance’s Payment System

A federal judge referring to a risk of “irreparable injury” has temporarily limited Elon Musk’s government -efficiency team to access a critical payment system for financial department.

The judge’s order, issued on Saturday, temporarily stops access to a sensitive payment system that distributes Americans ‘tax returns, social security services, disability payments and federal employees’ salary.

US district judge Paul Engelmayer ordered destruction of any downloaded information from the payment system by anyone who was given access to it since January 20, citing “The risk of the new policy constituting the reveal of sensitive and confidential information and the increased The risk that the systems are about it will be more vulnerable than before hacking. ”

A hearing on the case was set at February 14.

Engelmayer’s order came in response to a case filed by the New York Attorney General Latitia James and 18 other State Attorney General General Against the Trump Administration.

Dog’s actions have ignited a tense political debate and a contingency treatment about its access to the system and the administration’s potential interest in using it to turn off payments it chooses.

The payment system offers services to more than 250 federal agencies and is the cord for an extraordinary cut of critical individual payments. It is central to the US government’s operations and the lives of millions of Americans.
