LIVESTREAM: VANCOUVER WHITECAPS FC vs. IF Brommapojkarna

Marbella, Spain – Vancouver Whitecaps FC will close their trial season in 2025 in Marbella, Spain with their last friendly of the camp this Thursday, February 6, which they face if Brommapojkarna from the Swedish Allsvenskan. Kickoff is set to 6 AM PT / 15:00 local time. The match will be available to look right here on the club’s site.

After Thursday’s match, ‘Caps return to Vancouver on February 8 before their Concacaf Champions Cup around a first leg on Deportivo Saprissa. The team departs for San José, Costa Rica on February 18 prior to the match on February 20th.

‘Caps will remain on the road to open their campaign in the 2025 MLS season with a Cascadia clash against Portland Timbers on February 23 at Providence Park in Portland, Oregon.

The team then travels back to Vancouver to prepare for the Concacaf Champions Cup around a second leg against Saprissa on February 27 at BC Place. Vancouver hosts the MLS Cup Champions La Galaxy in their regular seasonal home opener at BC Place on Sunday, March 2nd.

Vancouver Whitecaps FC put a strong performance in their third preseason-friendly of 2025 on Sunday and won 2-0 against the Ukrainian side FC LNZ Cherkasy.

Looking sharp in their black historic monthly sets, Jesper Sørensen’s team came to fly right away and opened the scoring in the third minute. Ryan Gauld fed Ali Ahmed down the right wing, which then crossed to Sam Adekkbe at the top of the box. The Canadian dismissed it for Pedro Vite to shoot into the far corner and take a 1-0 lead.

A little over five minutes later, the captain ‘Caps got back on the board. Brian White won the ball high up and fed Gauld in the box, with the goalkeeper and then took him down. The shoeman finished the penalty kick to make it 2-0.

In 17 minutes, a big corner kick from Gauld Ranko Veselinović met, but his header went over the bar. Then in 33 minutes, the amazing pressure ended with a gauld -junction to white in the box, with his headline hidden from the line.

In the 71st minute, Nykommer Jayden Nelson made almost 3-0 after opening up space for himself inside the box before his shot was deflected equally wide of the net.

After a quiet day, Yohei Takaoka made a phenomenal reflex saved in the 82nd minute from a header from a corner kick to preserve the clean sheet and the 2-0 win.
