Canelo Alvarez meets William Scull 3rd May in Saudi -Arabia

Canelo Alvarez, Boxing’s Top Star, meets William Scull for the undisputed Supermidt weight Championship May 3 in Riyadh, Saudi -Arabia, announced Turki Alalshikh on Saturday.

Alalshikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia’s general entertainment authority, signed Alvarez for a four-match Riyadh seasonal agreement on Thursday. The first match with this agreement-there will be on Sunday morning, May 4, to meet a prime-time us broadcast Saturday night at Cinco de Mayo will see Alvarez look to recover the IBF title that was deprived him last years after he refused to meet Scull.

Scull (23-0, 9 Kos) was his mandatory challenger at the time and continued to Outpoint Vladimir Shiskin for the unemployed IBF title in October.

Mexicos Alvarez, 34, has WBC, WBA and WBO titles of 168 pounds. With an expected victory over Scull, in what corresponds to a tune-up for a 13th September showdown with Terence Crawford, Superfight will be disputed for the undisputed championship.

Alvarez’s new four-match agreement with the Riyadh season was a fantastic development that reshaped the boxing landscape a few hours after ESPN reported he was in the process of ending an appointment to fight for YouTube star Jake Paul on May 3 in Las Vegas.

“I’m just struggling with real warriors, no F — ing around with Canelo,” Alvarez said on Friday in a ring magazine video.

Alvarez goes out of a dominant decision -making victory over Edgar Berlanga in September. Now he turns attention to Scull, an undefeated but relatively unknown challenger from Cuba, who has calmly climbed up to £ 168.

Scull, 31, has a 23-0 record with 9 knockouts, although he has not yet been exposed to elite competition worldwide. When he fights out of Germany, Scull is a smooth, awkward fighter that will be a massive underdog against the big Canelo all-time. Scull is classified as No. 8 of ESPN of 168 pounds.

With the deal in place, Alvarez is ready to fight at least three times more under Riyadh -Seasonal Bannet. He is intended to fight for Crawford on September 13 in Las Vegas with plans for two matches next year in Riyadh in February and October.

The February match, told sources of ESPN, have three options on the table at the moment: A new match with Dmitry Bivol to avenge one of two career defeats (the other came vs. Floyd Mayweather in 2023); Hamzah Sheeraz, who challenges Carlos Adames to WBC Middleweight title 22 February; and Chris Eubank Jr., Middleweight Contender, the son of the British star box.

Alvarez (62-2-2, 39 Kos) has never competed outside North America.
