Man who died at Colorado Resort, missed skiing home, which got concern from girlfriend

Further details have been released related to a recent snowboarder death on a Colorado resort.

According to Winter Park Resort, a snowboarder died at the destination on January 26.

Grand County Coroner’s Office has since identified the late snowboarder as 41-year-old Jacob Arellano from Lakewood.

According to Fraser Winter Park Police Department, Arellano was at the Winter Park Resort with his girlfriend, who reported he was missing around 2 p.m. 16.48, Arellano had failed to emerge for the pair’s return to the Denver area via the ski train, which asked for concern. It is also worth noting that she had not heard from him since 7 p.m. 12.30

An initial soil search for Arellano gave no results even though the tracking of his phone helped narrow his location. His body was found in a wooded area just off Mary Jane Trail around 1 p.m. 7.30 pm, partially buried in snow.

Attempts to revive Arellano was not successful, being pronounced deceased on stage before 1 p.m. 20

This news follows a death that took place at Little Pierre Run at Winter Park Resort on January 10, involving a 77-year-old male skier. On January 10 -Death was last reported to be related to a medical episode.
