Michigan State Start Guard probably out toward Oregon

East Lansing – Michigan State is likely to be without its floor general when trying to snap the first losing season.

Startpoint Guards Jeremy Fears are unlikely to play for No. 9 Spartans (18-4, 9-2 Big Ten) against Oregon on Saturday (dinner, FOX), while Forward Xavier Booker is questionable as both are dealing with an illness, Coach Tom Izzo said on his pregame radio program.

Izzo said novice Jase Richardson will start instead of fear. It will be the first career start for Richardson, who is second on the team to score at 9.3 points per Match.

Booker who missed practice on Thursday due to being ill, and fears were both listed as questionable in the official first -name access report. Booker reviewed warm -ups at the Breslin Center floor about an hour before the game.

Fear, a Red-Werd-Nybstiger, has started all 22 games this season and is an average of 7.7 points and a Holdhøj 6.2 assists. Booker is an average of 6.3 points and 2.9 rebounds and leads the team with 20 blocks.

Michigan State went 0-2 on a road trip with losses on USC and UCLA before returning early Wednesday morning. The Spartans came back with a bug running through the team that will change the 10-deep rotation towards the ducks (16-7, 5-7), which has fallen four straight.
