Michigan State’s Jeremy fears Jr. out, Jase Richardson starts 1. Start

East Lansing – Michigan State Basketball’s deep rotation is at least one starter and maybe a key bench piece on Saturday.

Point Guard Jeremy fears Jr. (illness) was excluded when the ninth ranked Spartans hosted Oregon in the Breslin Center and was not in the building. Trainer Tom Izzo on his pregame radio program said that fear would probably not play and that he was excluded before Tipoff. Forward Xavier Booker (also ill) was questionable for noon (FOX) and sat on the bench.

“The strength in number,” Izzo said at his pregame radio program, “We find out how strong they are.”

Freshman Jase Richardson started his first career start for MSU, “so we keep the guard pretty evenly rotated.” Richardson scored 10 early points to give the Spartans a small lead halfway through halfway ahead of a celebration of MSU -Basketball -alumner, including 2000 National Title Team, which Father Jason Richardson played a key bench role as a beginner.

Fear that has started all 22 games this season is an average of 6.2 points, 6.2 assists and two rebounds a game. The 6-foot-2, 190 pounds of red shirt beginner missed everyone except 10 games last year after being shot in after Christmas in 2023.

Booker has come from the bench for the last 19 games after starting the first three. 6-11, 240 pounds Sophomore Average 6.3 points, 2.9 rebounds and 0.8 blocks per Match.

Richardson, a 6-3 combo protection, is second at MSU of 9.3 points per Match while shooting 40% from 3-point range and 52.3% overall. He also adds 2.4 rebounds and 2.0 assists a game.
