Michigan 70-67 Indiana (8th February 2025) Game Recap

Bloomington, Ind .– Danny Wolf ended with 20 points and nine rebounds, and three Donaldson and Vladislav Goldin added every 18 points to help # 24 Michigan keep hard charging Indiana 70-67 on Saturday.

Wolf also had five assists when Wolverines (18-5, 10-2) won their fourth equal and five of six. In coach Dusty May’s return to Assembly Hall, former Indiana Student Manager and Bob Knight Protge also helped Michigan click on a four-match’s losing series in the series.

Malik Reneau led Hoosiers with 16 points and five assists despite having played with a stag that protected his right knee – one day after athletic director Scott Dolson announced coach Mike Woodson Would not return next season.

Mackenzie Mgbako had 15 points and 11 rebounds when Indiana (14-10, 5-8) lost its fifth in a row.

Michigan led 45-27 with 1:07 back in the first half, but Hoosiers accused back in the second half of tying the score of 59 with 4:08 to go. Michigan answered with a 7-2 race and Hoosiers never came back.

Takeaways

Michigan: Wolverines have shown that they thrive in close play and win each of their last four with four or fewer points. And even though they had a chance to make it easier for themselves in Indiana, they still managed to pull it out.

Indiana: The Hoosians played hard after another slow start.

Goldin cut to the middle of a quick break and released himself to the binding can with 3:05 to go.
