Strong earthquake strikes north of Honduras

An earthquake with magnitude 7.2 hit north of Honduras on Saturday (local time), said the German Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ).

The earthquake was at a depth of 10 km, GFZ said after originally tied the earthquake at a size of 6.89.

The US Tsunami warning system said there was a tsunami warning after the earthquake.

The USGS measured the earthquake in order of 7.6.
