A powerful earthquake of 7.6 in size hit the Caribbean, approx. 130 miles southwest of the Cayman Islands, which triggered a tsunami advice for more islands nearby Saturday night.

The US Geological Survey said the shaking Beaten at. 18:23 Est About halfway between the Cayman Islands and Honduras. This caused the tsunami advice to be issued for potential influences to Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.

In F Tsunami waves were to be generated, the earliest is expected to arrive at Puerto Rico’s Western Coast around 10 pm. 20.48 est (21.48 local time). This is approx. 30 minutes before the first waves are expected to arrive in the Virgin Islands.

T Sunami waves of 3 to 10 feet are possible along the Cuba coast, said the US National Tsunami Warning Center.

Here is not believed to be any tsunami danger for the American Gulf or East Coast.
