The Philadelphia Eagles seemed to convert a key fourth-and-2 on their first drive of the Super Bowl 59 when Jalen hurts Hit AJ Brown For a 28-yard completion.

However, wiped out a controversial offensive passport -interference penalty gains and coercion Eagles to punt the ball.

Brown was marked to get in touch with Kansas City Chiefs Cornerback Trent McDuffie Before he brought the catch in. Brown looked to catch McDuffie with a look at the helmet, but the contact was small.

Fox’s broadcast of the game was immediately critical of the call as long-term NFL quarterback Tom Brady noticed that Brown had created minimal contact with McDuffie before going to earth.

Rules analyst Mike Pereira, an NFL official for 15 years, agreed with Brady’s assessment. He did not believe that the contact justified a penalty.

“I think it’s someone who didn’t have to be called,” Pereira said.

NFL used a good part of the weeks up to the Super Bowl 59 and pushed back against conspiracies that there was an official bias in favor of Chiefs. The early call from Ron Torbert brings them back to the tip of the rest of the game.

After their punt, Eagles were able to stop the bosses, so Philadelphia avoided any lasting damage from that momentum swing.
