Who is Kendrick Lamar’s fiancé Whitney Alford as rapper headlines Super Bowl 2025 Halfime Show?

Kendrick Lamar exceeds the Super Bowl Half-Time Show on Sunday, February 9, and no doubt his long-term partner Whitney Alford will be present.

Fresh from his victory at the Grammy Awards in 2025, where he scooped a total of five accolades, including Record of the Year for his Diss-track not like us, the 37-year-old will go to Caesar’s Superdome in New Orleans to perform.

Despite his enormous success as a rapper, Kendrick is notorious privately when it comes to his personal life and relationship with fiancé Whitney, 38.

The couple first met each other when they were teenagers and went to Centennial High School in Compton, California.

Kendrick and Whitney started as friends, but their relationship soon developed into something romantic.

After high school, Whitney went to California State University Long Beach, where she studied accounting. But she was later licensed aesthetic and launched her own business in Los Angeles.

The couple’s first public performance was in 2014 when they debuted at Red Carpet at the 56th annual Grammy Awards.

In an interview with the New York Times that year, the hitmaker was asked who in his life had the power to call him out, and he referred to Whitney and said, ‘A certain young lady. She has been here since the first day. ‘

The following year he described Whitney as his ‘best friend’ during an interview with Billboard.

“I don’t even like the expression that society has put into the world as far as a companion – she is someone I can tell my fear of it,” he said.

The couple engaged for a while in 2015, which he confirmed during an interview with The Breakfast Club at Power 105.1.

‘Yes, certainly. I am loyal to the soul, ”he said when asked about the engagement rumors.

Kendrick and Whitney greeted their first child, daughter Uzi, in 2019 and also has a son named Enoch – whose age has not been publicly revealed.

The rapper confirmed that he was the father of two via his album cover when he released his record Mr. Moral & The Big Steppers in May 2022.

The following month, Whitney shared a professional photo of the four of them posing in a garden when she marked Father’s Day.

“I choose to celebrate them to step up instead of stepping out to have delivered, to help us with women, to heal, to show up physically and most importantly to emerge emotionally.”

Whitney continued: ‘In my life I have witnessed a large majority of father’s runs from their responsibilities. I now understand that they ran from their own pain but children were left behind.

“I understand that they could not communicate with women properly so that the children suffered the consequence of their absence. I understand that they needed validation and most times it was in demand outside the home. And it was quite painful for all of us who knew this upbringing.

“I was almost 30 the first time I celebrated Dad’s Day, and it’s still one of the hardest to me. I know there are many women like me.

“So men are not as important for us to celebrate you as it is for you to celebrate you. Celebrate your contribution to the next generation. I am grateful to the men who show me another picture my lens was very narrow before, but no longer.

Whitney also occasionally posts snaps of everyday life with his two children and admitted in a post in November 2023 that motherhood is ‘the biggest and toughest job I’ve ever been assigned.’

Recently, Whitney and the kids appeared a brief performance in the music video for Kendrick’s award -winning track not like us.

In the black and white footage, the family was four caught and enjoyed an easy -hearted moment as they danced around in a living room together.

Whitney was shown dancing when Kendrick sat on the couch and their kids played with a basketball.

During one of his acceptance speakers on Grammys, Kendrick referred to Whitney’s performance in the video and said, ‘Not like us … Whitney in the video, Crip Walking, we will dedicate (to) it.’
