Vic Fangio and Eagles’ Defense was not respected by the NFL’s Hearing Certificate

Philadelphia Eagles had the NFL’s best defense in 2024.

So much is inevitable.

They allowed the fewest offensive points per Match.

They allowed the fewest meters per year. Match.

They ranked No. 1 of DVOA, Pro Football Focus classification and success rate.

Despite these results, Eagles Defensive Coordinator Vic Fangio and his defense were twisted at the NFL Head Certificate on Thursday night.

So Eagles had NFL’s best defense … without having one two the two defensive coordinator or a top four defender.

Sure, it makes sense!

I don’t even say Fangio or Baun had to win their category. But they both deserved more respect from the voters.

This year’s assistant coach is especially creepy. Fangio ending behind Ben Johnson is reasonable. But Brian Flores and Aaron Glenn are both ahead of him? Why?

Not only did Fangio monitor the best defense in the NFL. He did so after inheriting a defense that enabled the third most offensive points in 2023. And he did so despite Eagles ranking 25. In defensive expenses in 2024.

I am convinced that Fangio does not lose sleep over this. I’m sure he’s much more worried about coming up with a game plan to help Eagles beat Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl Lix. He will definitely get a lot of credit if/when he is able to slow down Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid.

And that makes these voting results look even more silly.

On a more positive note, Eagles ended with two of the top four players in the defensive Rookie of the Year vote. Quinyon Mitchell was edged by Eagles Fan Hater Jared Verse:
