When the Super Bowl is over, many sports fans immediately turn their attention to the start of the baseball season.

It’s just around the corner with pitchers and catchers reporting to their team’s spring training camps in Florida and Arizona.

Chicago Cubs will be the first MLB team to begin training at their facility in Mesa, Arizona when their pitchers and catchers arrive on February 9th. Cubs and Los Angeles Dodgers (February 11 in Glendale, Arizona) are in progress a little earlier than most others because they play the 2025 season opening series in Tokyo on 18-19. March.

When does spring training games start?

Cubs and Dodgers start with the spring training plan on Thursday, February 20 with a game in Dodgers’ Home Park in Glendale, Arizona.

The next day-Friday on February 21-have five matches on the schedule with another Dodgers-Cubs matchup in Cubbies’ Home Park in Mesa, Arizona.

Grapefruit League opener gets New York Yankees, who hosts Tampa Bay Rays, who will happen to play their regular seasonal matches on the same George Steinbrenner Field in Tampa after their home park, Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, suffered massive damage by hurricane Milton last October.
