Charlotte Hornets Star Guard Lamelo Ball is again injured, with the real ankle tenderness that forces him to miss the last three quarters of a 97-89 loss to Brooklyn Nets Monday in New York.

Ball missed five matches that broke January and February due to a sprained left ankle before playing 36 minutes against San Antonio Spurs on Friday. Then he sat out against the Detroit stamps on Sunday due to left ankle tenderness.

Now the 23-year-old is in danger of missing out on more time, though he said he doesn’t think his latest ankle injury is serious.

Charlotte plays again on Wednesday and takes a trip to Orlando for a meeting with the magic before he has a week free for the All-Star break.

Ball played only 10 minutes on Monday. He ended with five points on 2-of-5 shooting to go with a rebound and three assists.

In 33 games (all starts) this season, Ball has an average of 27.3 points, 5.1 boards and 7.2 assists.
