DOJ moves to reject federal charges against New York City Mayor Eric Adams

First at Fox: The Ministry of Justice is moving to reject federal charges against New York City Mayor Eric Adams, Fox News has learned.

Acting Deputy Deputy Attorney Emil Bove sent a letter to the acting US lawyer for the Southern District in New York on Monday and instructed SDNY to drop the federal case against Adams and reject it without reservation.

Adams was charged in September on charges, including bribery, and requested campaign contributions from foreign nationals, wire fraud and conspiracy. He has not pleaded guilty to all charges.

Sources told Fox News that the case should be rejected because the process was occupied against Adams.

Sources also said that the top officials of the Ministry of Justice believe the case should be dropped so that Adams can continue the efforts to stop illegal immigration in the city.
