Celtics Legends Honest Statement About Victor Wembanyama, De’Aaron Fox

In the midst of a series of schedules facing San Antonio Spurs, not much can be said about a possible ceiling. Then again, in only year two of Victor Wembanyama era, it’s not alarming.

Trade for Sacramento Kings Star de’aaron Fox was a big piece of the puzzle, especially when San Antonio retained his young core. However, whether it will be enough to carry the spurs to the playoffs is still to see.

On a recent episode of Kg certifiedBoth Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce weighed in on it.

“Spurs are going to play end games,” Garnett said.

Pierce disagreed. His argument was primarily around Wembanyama and Fox and Fox as the two co -stars in San Antonio.

“I like that Wemby is working with an explosive guard,” Pierce said. “That’s what he needs. Chris Paul is the transitional guard right now. He will teach you about the game … everywhere (he’s gone) they’ve won.”

Chris Paul, with so much experience he brings, certainly brings a lot for Fox to look forward to. But as Pierce clarified, it may take some time before Spurs harvest these benefits.

“He’s just talented right now,” Pierce said. “Now you get this basketball mind behind you and it will make you better. When I move on, I don’t think they will play in the year.”
