Mötley Crüe -frontman Vince Neil was not on board when a private jet he owned crashed into an airport in Arizona, the band has confirmed. The plane’s pilot is dead.

The incident that happened from the runway at Scottsdale Airport Monday afternoon (February 10) left Neil’s girlfriend rain Andreani and her friend with injuries that are not believed to be life -threatening.

They were taken to the hospital with Jet’s Co-Pilot, which was also injured.

According to a statement sent to the band’s Instagram, Learjet Aircraft Model 25A tried to land when “for unknown reasons at this point” turned it off from the runway, causing it to collide with another parked aircraft.
