With snow expected Tuesday, schools are planning plans

Another band of snow is expected to hit the Baltimore area on Tuesday with schools and businesses preparing for potentially dangerous conditions.

National Weather Service has most of Maryland during a winter storm clock from 1 p.m. 15 Tuesday to 7 Wednesday with a total of 3 to 5 inches possible.

The snow is expected to start around 1 p.m. 16 Tuesday with a 70% chance of rainfall and a high about 37. The total sneak cumulation a day will be about one inch a day.

The snow falls harder in the evening, mainly before 04 o’clock with a low about 32. New sneak cumulation of 2 to 4 inches is possible.

As a result, several school districts have announced closure plans for Tuesday. Baltimore County Public Schools closes three hours early, with the afternoon the Freedomskindergart -Classes canceled.

Baltimore City Schools has canceled activities after school, but will update their decision on the middle of the morning on Tuesday, according to its website.

Anne Arundel County Public Schools announced that virtual learning plans will be in force on Tuesday.

All Howard County Public Schools will close 3 hours early Tuesday. Students will be dismissed according to the unplanned early closure method provided by parents/guardians in family file.

Prince George’s County Schools closes two hours early. Talbot County will follow its early dismissal plan and all afternoon activities are canceled. Frederick County Schools closes 3.5 hours early.

Smooth road conditions could affect Tuesday night and Wednesday morning commutes, NWS said.

Erik Taylor, meteorologist for NWS ‘Baltimore-Washington, DC Office, recommends against traveling on the road on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, but if necessary he suggested giving extra time to commute and maintain extra distance between your vehicle and others.

The low pressure system is the most important factor behind the predicted snow -covered weather, pushing over the area and mixing with the cold air, Taylor said.

On Wednesday, the snow is expected to continue in the morning before turning to rain and gossip, probably between 7 p.m. 13 and at. 16 with a high near 36. New snow and gossip accumulation of less than half an inch is possible.

Wednesday night is expected to have more rain, possibly mixed with less than half an inch of snow before they become all rain after 10am.

There is a small chance of showers before 7 p.m. 13 Thursday, before they are mostly cloudy with a high near 52. The evening will be partially cloudy with a low about 31.

The sun is expected to shine Friday with a high of 41 and a low about 31.

However, more rain is expected for Saturday after 7 p.m. 13, but with warmer temperatures and a high near 47. There is a 100% chance of rainfall in the evening with a low about 43.

Sunday will also be rainy with a high near 56. The evening should mostly be cloudy and colder with a low level of 26.
