Man arrested after double shooting in South Chattanooga

CHATTANOOGA, TENN. (WDEF) – A chattanooga man has been arrested after shot two people over the weekend, leaving them both in the hospital.

Around 01:03, February 9, 2025, Chattanooga Police (CPD) officers were sent to 5222 Woodland View Circle for reports of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers found two young victims who had lasting gunshot wounds.

A victim got a shot to the left of his head.

She was transported to a local hospital to receive treatment of life -threatening injuries.

The other victim got a gunshot wound to the right leg.

They were also transported to a local hospital to receive treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers later went to the hospital to interview the victims where they identified the shooter as Da’Shaun Foster.

According to a statement, a witness came to the fact that officers whom Foster came to, a shift with someone called “smoke” before the shooting took place.

Foster would then return inside the residence to pick up a firearm.

Then he came back outside and began shooting at the male party and other victims.

After performing a search order located officers shell -lining pipes and firearms inside the home.

Foster was later arrested and transported to Hamilton County prison and detention center.

He is indicted for three counts of attempts at first degree murder and three counts with worsening assault.
