Ripley man who is accused of bringing into the home, climbing in bed and sexual assault of woman

A Jackson County, West Virginia, man was arrested overnight after deputies said he allegedly broke into a home and sexually assaulted a woman.

James Adam Watson, 40, is indicted for burglary and sexual assault after an incident overnight in the Ripley area, according to a news message from Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.

Watson is accused of bringing into a home and climbing into a bed with a woman and a 2-year-old child before allegedly sexually attacking the woman.

Deputies said Watson was found and taken into custody in the backyard of the home under the bedroom window where the incident was reported.

Watson is currently being held on a bond of $ 75,000.
