Former Eagles and Kellen Moore agree to deal with Saints – NBC Sports Philadelphia

Kellen Moore leaves Philadelphia as Super Bowl champion.

Eagles’ offensive coordinator has reached an agreement to become New Orleans Saint’s main coach, NFL Networks reported Ian Rapoport on Tuesday morning.

This is not a surprise, but it now means that Eagles will have another new offensive coordinator in 2025.

Moore, 36, spent only one season of Eagles and helped them win the Super Bowl Lix in New Orleans Sunday night. Superdome is now his new home.

During these playoffs, Moore interviewed for three main coach positions and will fill the last vacant position in this coaching cycle. While there was some fan anxiety about Moore’s attention that might be redirected, he called two good matches in the NFC Championship game and the Super Bowl.

While they obviously got plenty of help from their defense-pick-6 included Eagles to score 40 points in the Super Bowl Lix. And Quarterback Jalen Hurts was named MVP.

In 2025, Nick Sirianni enters his fifth season as Eagle’s head coach and is likely to sign an expansion this season. The next offensive coordinator will be the fourth under Sirianni after Shaneichen, Brian Johnson and Moore.

The next OC will also be the fifth Play-Caller for Hurts after Sirianni, Steichen, Johnson and Moore. Hurts has been public about longing for more stability at the OC/Play-Caller site, but he wants another new one in 2025.

It seems that one of the best candidates to replace Moore is an internal. Passing gaming coordinator/associate head coach Kevin Patullo has been with Sirianni since the beginning of his time in Philly and even flew here with Sirianni after he was hired. Patullo has passed gaming coordinator for all four years of Eagles and because an associate head coach in 2023.

But even though Patullo is the favorite, it does not mean that the Eagles are not launching a kind of search. Last year, they interviewed only three candidates for the job: Moore, Kliff Kingsbury and Jerrod Johnson. Kingsbury is the commanders of the commanders, and Johnson is still Texans’ QBS coach, even after a switch by OC.
