Who is Kevin Patullo? 7 candidates to replace Eagles and Kellen Moore

In many ways Eagles Prepared New Orleans Saints.

This step will happen on Tuesday as the NFL network reports that the saints have ended an agreement with Moore.

But Eagles knew this was coming, especially after Eagles scored a total of 95 points in the last two matches-40-22 win over Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl on Sunday, ahead of a 55-23 win over Washington commanders in NFC Championship Game.

So when the 2025 season begins, Eagles would have a fourth offensive coordinator for five seasons under head coach Nick Sirianni.

“Kellen, very smart coach, was able to adapt our offense week to week, as it was necessary to win games,” said Eagle’s chairman and CEO Jeffrey Lurie. “And he’s a wonderful person … Unfortunately we’ll have to wish him the best with New Orleans.”

No doubt, Eagles’ offensive coordinator job would be very sought after that Eagles just played in their second Super Bowl for three seasons, with an offense led by stars Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley, AJ Brown and Devonta Smith, beyond a top offensive line .

It is very possible that Eagles already have a replacement in mind in the passing gaming coordinator Kevin Patullo, who has been with Sirianni since 2018, when Sirianni was Colts’ offensive coordinator and Patullo was the broad recipient’s coach.

Patullo, 43, came to Eagles with Sirianni to act as the passing game coordinator. Eagles added the associated head coach title in 2023.

For Hurts, some continuity would be welcomed. Eagles’ new offensive coordinator would be the ninth in 10 seasons for Hurts and go back to his first year in Alabama. The only time hurt the same play-caller for more than one season was when Shane Steichen was Eagles’ offensive coordinator in 2021 and 2022.

Steichen left after the ’22 season to become Colts’ head coach.

Hurts said he has always welcomed different voices with different ideas before adding “everyone wants this continuity.”

“But there is always something about the mentality of transforming the situation into a positive and learning as much as I can, and getting as much knowledge as I can, so I can be the best player I can be and lead this team to success, “Said Hurts.

As for Patullo, he said that being hurt ever since the 2021 season, Hurts’ first full season as the starting, would help restore that continuity.

“I have a great deal of knowing what he likes and what he doesn’t like and how to work with him,” Patullo said. “It’s important to have some people who understand how he is ticking and working.”

Of course, Sirianni tried to go with the familiar voice in 2023 and it came back. It was when Sirianni hired Brian Johnson, who had been Eagles’ Quarterbacks coach in 2021 and ’22. Before that, Johnson was coached by Hurts’ father, Averion, in high school when Hurts was a child.

Johnson was fired after the 2023 season when Sirianni admitted that his violation had grown “out of date.” Sirianni then hired Moore for this season.

But Sirianni talked a lot about Patullo when asked about him on Thursday.

“He has been very important to the success we have had,” Sirianni said. “He wears a lot of different hats. Helps me a lot with different head coach things. I can’t tell you that I make a decision without saying to Kevin first, ‘What do you think?’

“It’s in everything. It’s in play, it’s out of play, it’s with planning, it’s with offensive things. I lean on him a lot. I’ve had what, eight years of Kevin. This continuity is important, Because he knows what I am thinking in certain situations how you want things to be taught …

“I trust him with everything. I have lots of confidence and believe in him. He’s amazing.”

Still, Eagles will undoubtedly look at other candidates to replace Moore. Here are six other candidates in addition to Patullo:

Bobby Slowik, former Texans OC

When the 37-year-old Slowik was considered one of the top main coach candidates, 37-year-old Slowik was fired after this season when his second worked with QB CJ Stroud. In Slowik’s first season, Stroud was offensive rookie in the year when Houston played playoffs. Stroud regressed something this season, but the Texans still reached the playoffs.

Chad O’Shea, Browns Passing Game Coord/WR -Coach

O’Shea has spent the last five seasons of Browns after serving as Dolphin’s offensive coordinator in 2019. Browns have been fighting offensively since trading for Deshaun Watson. But O’Shea worked with Joe Flacco at the end of the 2023 season as Browns went 4-1 and played playoffs.

Frank Reich, ex Panther’s main coach

Sirianni has always considered Reich, 63, a mentor who went back for a decade when Reich was the offensive coordinator and Sirianni The QB coach. Reich was Eagles’ OC in 2016-17, where Carson Wentz had an MVP season before his cracked ACL. Sirianni became Reich’s offensive coordinator when Reich became the Colts head coach in 2018, before traveling in 2021 to take over the Eagles. Reich was fired by Colts midway through the 2022 season. He was Panther’s main coach in 2023, but was fired after that season.

David Girardi, Chiefs QB Coach

It would be exciting to get Girardi and end his second season as a QB coach who worked with Patrick Mahomes. He was Chiefs’ Assistant QB trainer for three years before that. Eagles – and hurts – could certainly benefit from knowing how Mahomes works.

Tee Martin, Ravens QB -Coach

Like Girardi, Martin has had extensive insight that star QB Lamar Jackson, as this was his second season as Baltimores QB trainer, something that could benefit evil and eagles. Before it was Martin Ravens’ WR trainer and has long experience at the university level.

Will Stein, Oregon Offensive Coordinator

As a rent outside the box, Stein led one of college football’s most productive offenses as QB Dillon Gabriel threw for 3,857 yards and 30 TDs, as Oregon average 34.9 points and 437 yards per year. Match.
