Breaking: Ocean City Elementary School On Lockdown due to threat

12:45 PM UPDATE: The lock on Ocean City Elementary School has been lifted from 1 p.m. 12.22

The threat has been considered non -verified and all students and staff are safe.

School officials work with law enforcement to reject students at the previously scheduled early dismissal time for 1 p.m. 13.00 Parents who pick up their children must use Keyser Point Road and turn eastward towards the center driven. Law enforcement will lead parents through the route.

Worcester co., Md. – Ocean City Elementary School is currently on Lockdown due to a verbal threat.

Details are limited at this time. We are told that the school’s contingency procedures have been activated and officials are working extensively to keep students and staff in safety at this time.

Worcester County Sheriff’s Office says deputies are on stage at this time and that school is safe. The public is asked to stay out of the area because of the investigation.
