Duolingo sparks confusion with death message about owl mascot duo

Duolingo has left fans amazed after announcing “death” of his iconic owl -mascot, duo.

The popular language learning platform, known for its humorous presence on social media, shared a fired post that declared the duo’s death, and claimed the authorities were investigating the cause of death. The post that invited fans to “respect privacy”, humorously suggested that the duo probably died from waiting too long for users to complete their lessons.

In the quirky message, Duolingo also joked about the mascot’s many “enemies” and even asked users to refrain from sharing negative comments about the duo while the legends encouraged them to sign up for Duolingo Max in his memory. The company also added that they appreciated “Dua Lipa’s privacy” during this time.

With headquarters in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Duolingo was founded in 2011 by Luis von Ahn and Severin Hacker.
