Red adds veteran reliever Scott Barlow on 1-year appointment

Cincinnati Reds has added another veteran to their Bullpen, and accepts an agreement with right -handed reliever Scott Barlow to a one -year deal worth $ 2.5 million, The athletic has confirmed with team sources.

Jesse Rogers from ESPN first reported the deal awaiting a physical one.

Reds ’40 man list is currently 40, but players can be transferred to the 60-day wounded list that starts Wednesday. Two red jugs, Julian Aguiar and Brandon Williamson, are on a 40-man, but will miss the entire season 2025 after Ulnar Collateral Ligament Surgery.

Barlow, 32, was 3-3 with a 4.25 ERA and two savings in 63 performances with Cleveland Guardians last season. He has 58 career savings, all except two arrives in almost six seasons in Kansas City. He was traded for San Diego Padres in 2023.

In January, the reds for the Left side Taylor Rogers from Giants to add the Bullpen.

The Reds announced on Tuesday that they had signed veteran-right-handed Josh Staumont for a minor-league deal with an invitation to the Big-League camp. Staumont, 31, had a 3.70 era in 25 appearances for Minnesota Twins last season. Before that, he spent five seasons of royals and recorded eight rescues in his time there.

Casters and prisoners reported to Reds Camp in Goodyear, Ariz., Monday and have their first formal training on Wednesday.
