Flash Flood Watch remains in effect as more rain is expected through tomorrow – Bossiernow


ONE Flash Flood Watch is in effect for Bossier Parish area through Wednesday afternoon.

Rain and thunderstorms will rise all over the area throughout Tuesday night and Wednesday, resulting in widespread rainfall of 2 to 4 inches above the clock. Some isolated areas could receive 5 inches or more of rain, according to the National Weather Service.

Moderate, to sometimes heavy rain, will prevail throughout the region this afternoon.

“While many areas will be able to take the rain, urban flood problems will be the primary threat along with increases in local rivers and bayous,” NWS said.

While no local severe weather threat is expected this afternoon except for a few rumbles of
Thunder, there is a chance for a serious thunderstorm or two Wednesday afternoon.

Pay attention to your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
