Since then he has played professionally in China, Spain, Mexico and Puerto Rico. However, he tore his Achilles -sen in 2022 and had to work back to his health while trying to catch an NBA team’s eye. It has finally happened thanks to a dominant season in the G League.

ESPNS Sham’s Charania reported on Saturday – and league bounds confirmed to Indystar – that Len intended to participate in Pacers when he cleared exceptions. However, there has been movement at the center of the league since then, which could have changed the dynamics of his decision. For example, Lakers lifted their trade in Hornets, which would have brought them center Mark Williams to Guard Dalton Knecht and the forward Cam Reddish among other assets and were in the market for a center again.

The pacers have been on the market for center depth behind Starter Myles Turner in large parts of this season. For the first 10 days of the year, big men James Wiseman and Isaiah Jackson tore each achilles. Pacers acquired former Indiana University star Thomas Bryant on December 15 from the heat, but was looking for a third center. They opened a guard space and room under the luxury tax at the trade deadline by sending Wiseman to Raptors with cash considerations for a top-55 protected 2026 election. They intended to fill this guard space with Len, but when it did not work they decided to do so by looking within their organization.
