Tuna Remember on Walmart, Publix, Kroger, Costco, Trader Joe’s, Others at Botulism -Chydrums

Problems with canned tuna cans can cause botulism and have caused a recall involving six of the country’s top seven grocery sellers, as well as independent food stores and two other well -known chains.

Then heads up, Walmart, Kroger, Costco, Safeway, Publix, HEB, Harris Teeter and Trader Joe’s Tuna Eaters.

What is the problem?

Tri-Union Seafood says a supplier said a problem with the migratory tab can lid on some tuna products “Can compromise the integrity of the product seal (especially over time), causing it to leak or worse, be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum, a potentially fatal form of food poisoning. “

What you need to do now

This may seem common sense, but don’t eat remembered can of tuna if you have it, no matter what it looks or smells.

Return tuna to the seller for a refund. Or throw it in the waste. Tri-Union says you can reach it to a fetch kit and coupon for a replacement.

Publix: Genoa Solid white tuna in olive oil, 5 ounces, best before 12 December 2027 or 24 January 2028; Genoa Yellowfin Tuna in olive oil, four packages of 5 ounces, best before December 13, 2027 and January 21, 2008.

Harris Teeter: Genoa Solid white tuna in olive oil, 5 oz, best before December 12, 2027 or 24 January 2028.

Kroger, Fred Meyer and QFC stores: Genoa albacore tuna olive oil, 5 ounces of cans, best before 12 December 2027 or 24 January 2028. Tri-Union don’t list but Kroger makes the list, chicken of the ocean Genoa Tonno Tuna, four packages of 5 ounces, best before December 13, 2027 and January 23, 2028.
