Fantasy Basketball Week 16 Waiver Wired: Bilal Coulibaly, Nikola Jovic worth targeting against

The NBA trading deadline has come and gone, as it is far more efficient than many expected. While some of the teams lowered in the position have made their intentions cope with the rest of the season, others (Hi, Portland) decided to stand Pat and see what their current group can do.

The busy trading market has put some players in a good position to give extra fantasy value, whether on the go or not. Here is this week’s garbage-corded column and remember that week 16 (Yahoo) spans two weeks due to the All-Star break.

Priority adds

1. Andrew Nembhard

2. Nikola Jovic

3. Bilal Coulibaly

4. Scoot Henderson

5. AYO DOSUNMU

6. Isaiah Collier

7. Dalton Knecht

8. Toumani Camara

9. Matas Buzelis

10. Tari Eason

SG/SF Bilal Coulibaly (51%), Washington Wizards

The wizards were one of the more active reconstruction teams at the trade deadline and moved Kyle Kuzma and Jonas Valanciunas. Coulibaly, who has been a starter throughout the season, is one of the players who is to take advantage of the changes. He recorded his first triple double in Wednesday’s win over the nets and the ball should be in his hands even more as Washington plays the rest of his schedule. Wizards play four games in week 16, two on each side of the All-Star break.

PG Scoot Henderson (48%), Portland Trail Blazers

Henderson has offered top-75 value in 8-cat formats over the past month and plays almost 28 minutes per minute. Match. Surprisingly, Portland was not the “seller”, as many expected them to be at the trade deadline, but the team’s recent races (10-1 in their last 11 games) had a lot to do with it. Henderson has been an important contributor, regardless of whether he comes from the bench or gets off occasionally, and efficiency has improved. Now three games left in the loss column for the final play-in place, Portland plays three of its four weeks 16 games against nuggets (twice) and lakers.

SF/PF TARI EASON (41%), Houston Rockets

Since returning to Rockets’ Lineup on January 16, Eason has offered the value of the 7th round in the 8-cat formats while performing a round better in 9-cat. The concern is the left leg injury that sidelined him in 13 games as Houston will not play Eason in both matches with back-to-backs in the foreseeable future. With Rockets playing two back-to-backs during week 16, it would be understandable if some leaders looked in a different direction. However, Eason’s production as a rebounder and defends him challenging to overlook in the category leagues.

SF/PF Toumani Camara (39%), Portland Trail Blazers

Already an excellent defender, Camara continues to make progress offensively for the rolling trail blazers. Over the past two weeks he is an average of 12.8 points of 55.7% shooting from the field. Add to this what Camara does as a rebounder and defender, and the result is another year-old player who has offered the top-75 value in 8-CAT formats in the last two weeks. The front office’s decision not to pull the plug to the trade deadline in the middle of Portland’s 10-1 race indicates that this group will be allowed to compete for now. It should make Camara a more valuable fantasy goal on the way to week 16.

PG/SG Andrew Nembhard (36%), Indiana Pacers

While he did not offer much value in Pacers’ victory 6 February over Clippers, Nembhard has been very productive recently. Over the past two weeks he has delivered top-50 value in 8-cat formats, an average Almost 30 minutes per Match. During this stretch, Nembhard has shot 56.8% from the field and 83.3% from the bad line. While playing with Tyrese Haliburton lowers her offensive ceiling, the last two weeks have shown that Nembhard can still have value in 12-team leagues.

PG/SG/SF AYO DOSUNMU (36%), Chicago Bulls

Chicago did not move both Marquee veterans before the trading deadline, but Zach League’s departure opens things to more circumference players. Dosunmu is the one that is more likely to be available in standard fantasy leagues and he has been a 9-round player in the 8-cat formats in the past two weeks. AYO has an average of 4.9 assists per Fight during this race where only Josh Gidde (6.3) is more productive. What also helps is the position eligibility, as fantasy leaders in Yahoo Leagues can connect Dosunmu in six different slots (PG/SG/SF/G/F/FAILURE) in their lineups.

PF/C Nikola Jovic (36%), Miami Heat

Haul Miami received in exchange for Jimmy Butler included Andrew Wiggins, who should be an instant starter. This trade should not have much influence on Jovic, which has given reliable value from the bench. Over the past month he has been a top-75 player in 8-CAT formats, something only two other heat players (Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo) can claim. Maybe playing time (31.0 minutes per game over the past month) takes a light hit, but it’s not guaranteed, considering how well Jovic has played. If anything, Duncan Robinson (11%) and Jaime Jaquez Jr. (15%) be affected more by Wiggins’ arrival.

SG/SF Dalton Knecht (28%), Charlotte Hornets

Outside of a five-game ran in mid-November, scoring 14 points or more in each excursion, Knecht did not offer much consistency with Lakers. He was part of the rotation, but defensive matches limited how much playing time he received. That should not be the case in Charlotte as Hornets rebuilds. And with Brandon Miller (wrist) out for the rest of the season, Knecht should have plenty of room to put shots. What also helps is that Hornets plays five matches in week 16, including a make-up game against Lakers, which is scheduled for February 19.

PG Isaiah Collier (26%), Utah Jazz

Collier has started 14 of Utah’s last 16 matches, and although the perimeter is still an ongoing work, there is much to suffer from this rookie guard. He average 8.3 assists per Match since January 5, and Collier has recorded a point/assists double-double in two equal. He has also hit double in points in six straight and shoots 54.7% from the field. For 9-CAT leaders, he needs to get revenue in chess, but Collier’s average 3.3 per year. Battle over the past month. It is a manageable number, especially for a player who must consistently meet (if not exceed) 30 minutes.

SF/PF Matas Buzelis (25%), Chicago Bulls

Buzelis started his first career start on February 5 against Timberwolves, Chicago’s first match since trading in Zach Lavine to Kings. Rookie was only 4-of-10 from the field, but he explained two steals and three blocked shots. And the night before, Buzelis scored a career hill 24 points on 10-of-10 shooting. He should have any opportunity to show what he can do at both ends of the floor. While Bulls remain 10 in the East (many expect Philadelphia to eventually pass on them), the development of their younger players should be prioritized between now and the end of the season.

PG Jose Alvarado (19%), New Orleans Pelicans

DEJOULTE MURRAY (ACHILLES) is out for the rest of the season, making this a simple choice, although Alvarado is not guaranteed to start. Of course, it is hoped that the Pelicans -the guard can play more than the 22 minutes he logged in a loss of February 3 to Denver (the first game after Murray’s injury), but Alvarado dealt with bad problems in one. With New Orleans on the way to the draft lottery, he is a rotational stabbing beam whose minutes should remain safe. And if New Orleans decides to give CJ McCollum the occasional “emergency control” day, this is where Alvarado can be most valuable.

PF/C Precious Achiuwa (16%), New York Knicks

Knicks have been without and Anunoby (Foot) in the last two matches, and he is questionable for Saturday’s Matchup with Celtics. Achiuwa has been his replacement in the starting lineup, most recently set 17 points, eight rebounds, two assists, three steals, two blocks and a 3-pointer in a win on February 4 over Toronto. If Anunoby can return on Saturday, there may not be much to win by listing Achiuwa in week 16. If not, there will be value for those who need rebounding production (at least eight rebounds in three straight matches).
