Chicago to see ‘Biggest Snow System’ so far this winter, with 3-6 inches expected Wednesday

Chicago – National Weather Service has issued a winter storm for Wednesday, as snow is expected all day.

At the end of that, there could be between three to six inches on the ground, a “pretty good bed,” said Gino Izzi, a meteorologist at National Weather Service.

“We haven’t had much in the way of snow this year, so this will be our biggest snow system,” said Izzi.

A low -pressure system that carries the snow spores over the Ohio Valley, “nothing unusual,” he said.

It will start snowing easily on Wednesday morning – with a period of heavy snow in the afternoon, according to Izzi.

There may be a break in the late afternoon before a “little push” of more snow in the evening, Izzi said.

“There will be snow with different intensities late at night tomorrow,” he said.

As per National Weather ServiceThursday and Friday are expected to have sunny sky and temperatures in their 20s, with snow that is likely to return Saturday.
