‘Sweet Magnolias’ Deethroned on Netflix’s Top 10 list of a new show

One of Netflix’s biggest sleeping hits is Sweet Magnolias, the drama that has just sent its fourth season from last week and it took up on # 1 on Top 10 list for a while. Now it has been deterred by not one, but two shows, one that is expected, one that is not.

The expected show is WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW, and I almost wonder if I should exclude this from my list coverage at this time, given that it seems to be No. 1 every Monday in the foreseeable future because of WWE and Netflix’s combined reach.

But on No. 2 is a true story documentary that survives Black Hawk Down that covers the real events that inspired that movie. It’s just a three -part series that is more or less the length of a movie, so people will probably get through it pretty fast.

As I move down the list are the murders of the veins, the Swedish crime drama, which I thought began strongly, but … in the end faded, with two cases jammed in only five episodes of approx. 90 in total for each one. It was a strange structure and I didn’t find it so convincingly in the end.

#5 is a show that I just wrote about, Apple Cider vinegar, the story of an influencer who falsified brain cancer to get a following and build a fire. I think its star, Kaitlyn Dever, will definitely get an Emmy nomination, if not win, because of her performance here, and although the concept is upset, it is a must-watch for her alone.

I am still concerned about the recruitment that just continues to tumble down the list, now on No. 8, and it never came over # 3 in the United States. Not ideal for a show trying to break past Netflix’s notorious two season-after-dampened races, and I wonder if it will survive. Maybe it does better than I give it the credit for.

It looks like WWE RAW will do this every Monday, though we are now on our way to Wrestlemania, so things will only escalate from here in the foreseeable future. While Raw is on Netflix now, big events like Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania remain on PPV and you won’t get them through a subscription here, which I’m sure a few fans can be disappointed.
