Jasprit Bumrah excluded from India’s Champions Trophy 2025 team. BCCI makes two major changes




Jasprit Bumrah has been excluded from India’s team for Champions Trophy 2025, BCCI confirmed late Tuesday night. Both Jaiswal and Chakaravarthy had been handed over to their ODD debut during the series against England.

Chakaravarthy forced himself into conflict after the Imperious form under the T20i series against England, where he picked up 14 wickets in five matches and was named ‘Player of the Series’.

Jaiswal was India’s top run scorer across all formats in 2024, but has only played an odia to date when most of his races come in the test cricket.

Non-traveling replacements

Team India has named three non-traveling compensation, in case of injury, in the form of Jaiswal, Pacer Mohammed Siraj and Allrounder Shivam Dube.

Not traveling compensation: Yashasvi Jaiswal, Mohammed Siraj and Shivam Dube. The three players travel to Dubai when needed.
