Maintenance work is set to influence southwestern train this week

Some southwestern trains are canceled, redirected or replaced by buses tomorrow due to maintenance work.

Work will affect trains Wednesday (February 12).

Haslemer area

Due to maintenance work in the Haslemer area, some late evening services are canceled or replaced by buses for all or part of their journey.

Wednesday (February 12):

Axminster to Exeter

The lines between Axminster and Exeter are closed throughout the week due to maintenance work.

London Waterloo for Exeter Services is completed at Axminster.

Buses run between Axminster and Exeter.

A statement on the South Western Railway website says: “Last night and early morning services may be changed to emergencies or planned work.

“We are sorry that voluminous luggage, cycles and strollers cannot be carried on the replacement bus connections.

“Check if you are planning to travel after 11:30 pm or before 5.30am, as buses can replace trains at short notice.”
