Nj -Be residents that stiffen to messy week

New Jersey (PIX11) – Although South Jersey is expected to carry the head of Tuesday’s snow, North Jersey residents are still stiffened for a winter strap overnight.

“It will be our normal prep,” said Jeff Paul, Morris County Office of Emergency Management Director. “The trucks will go through the night later this evening with regard to salt and then potential plowing operations when it makes sense.”

Paul asks residents to pay attention to potential black ice. “We ask people to pay attention to it and be careful.”

Jane Webber from Bernardsville plans to stay inside as much as possible.

“Our yard is a skating rink now, so very cautious on the sidewalks to keep them clear so we don’t fall,” webber said.

Others stored themselves on significant things and have salt ready.

“We went to the market and got a lot of things, got a lot of food,” said Helen d’Alessio from Morristown.

“Got the salt in place,” Jim Sousa said. “Hopefully not too much to cloud up here in North Jersey. Could only get a few centimeters, so let’s keep it that way. “
