Wayne County Sheriff Raphael Washington defendant for sexual harassment by the former employee

Wayne County Sheriff Raphael Washington is sued for sexual harassment by a former employee.

The case was filed on Tuesday by Regina Parks, who worked at Sheriff’s Office for six years as the former compliance officer and Community Outreach Director.

In the 21 -page trial, Parks claimed that Washington harassed her on a “routine basis.”

What we know: Detroit Mother tried to call for help months before children froze to death in parking garage

The mother of a little girl and boy who died and lived in a car parked at a casino in Detroit shared on Monday his side of what happened.

Tateona Williams, 29, said the family lived in a van for three months. When she called the city for help, she was turned away.

“I called everyone,” Williams said. “I cried out of the state. I called different cities. I called Detroit. I came on cam (Detroit). I’ve been on a cam for a long time. No one, every time I called, says no shelter, no bed. I thought I was doing the right thing. I tried to keep them warm at night. That’s it. I just tried to keep them warm. No one helped me. It took me to lose two of my kids to get this help. I don’t feel good about it. “
