KCPS, Shawnee Mission among school districts to cancel classes for Wednesday

Kansas City, Mo. (KCTV) – As the Kansas City area is preparing for winter weather over the next 24 hours, several school districts have interrupted Wednesday.

Shawnee Mission School District announced that classes would be canceled, including remote learning and teaching.

Kansas City Public Schools also announced that his students and staff would stay home with canceled classes.

Blue Valley Schools also do not have classes in anticipation of the winter weather. Parent-teacher conferences on Wednesday are also canceled in Blue Valley.

Olathe Public Schools also canceled the school Wednesday under Plan A. Olathe will operate under a plan B closure on Thursday.

Several other school districts have followed and announced closures for Wednesday.
