The efforts to construct HS2 have reached a highlight of the completion of the first of 13 viaducts at a key rail, Projects managers said.

An article on the BBC site says 472m (516yd) single-track river Tame West Viaduct has been built on the Delta Junction site near Water Orton, Warwickshire.

When everyone is completed, the 13 structures will take the railway over highways, rivers, flooding places and local roads from London to Birmingham and on to Staffordshire.

“Momentum on HS2 is absolutely incredible at the moment,” said Matt Young, the project’s client director in Midlands.

“On the civil engineering part of the project we are at Peak Construction; We remain on top through 2025 and into 2026. ”


TFL has spent more than estimated 942 million. Pounds on new DLR trains – but most of them are currently stuck in Spain.

In a speech with the BBC, he described plans to bring the line back into use as “really exciting”.
